READING REVIEW GAMES

We rotated through many reading game centers towards the end of the year which focused on . combining many letter and vowel combinations. Some of the games were played in partners, others in small groups. Some were focused on only one vowel and others tried to combine as many as vowels possible. Some of the games focused on blending single letters with a vowel and others featured short words.

 

SHIN

We created the letters shin and sin using dominoes and moved a fluffy ball from the left side to the right side to indicate whether it was shin or sin.

We also had a stamp placed on the hand we use for Shema, to help us remember which side indicates each letter.

Many games were played on the carpet to help us practise differentiating the letters.

 

 

  

 

Taf - the last letter .

We used a variety of scrap materials including foam, cardstock, construction paper, buttons, string and corrugated bulletin borders to create our own letter taf and saf, freestyle. We had an example of the letter on the board but each student cut up their own materials to design and create their own letters.
